Petty Crimes Division: Who Stole the Show?

Concept

A Comedic, Card-Based, Police Line Up Game with a non-linear structure.

Join the Petty Crime Division and solve very irrelevant crimes as you must use your wit and the responses of the suspects to find out who committed the act.

In this Satirical, Detective experience, you must solve the non-consequential mystery of who Stole the Show, by using question cards resourcefully towards the five absurd suspects.

Instructions (Not included in Game)

Use the Mouse to select a question card, then choose the right suspect to ask it, in order to gather the information that will help in deducing who the culprit is through an analytical process of elimination.

Ask Single: Ask a Single Character the question in your hand.

Ask Many: Ask Every character on the screen the same question. this is only available for the first 2 question cards.

Kick: Following a certain amount of card uses you must kick someone from the line-up, removing your ability to ask them questions. chose wisely, most suspects have very relevant information that could help you discover "Who Stole the Show!?"

Accuse: When only one suspect remains, you are tasked with Accusing one of the five suspects. Think carefully, as accusing the wrong suspect would lead to the true culprit escaping, and stealing even more shows!

Tips: no one can clear themselves but other characters can prove their innocence.

This was both the first time we worked together as a team, and the first-ever Game Jam for each of us. Even though we encountered many obstacles along the way (such as switching the game concept 24hours into development), we are very proud of both the journey and the result :)
